Why the time is right to BOx
Why boxing? It’s a question we’ve been asked a lot since we launched BOx last month. The truth is that there are are a lot of different answers. Here are some of them.
Today, there is a buzz around boxing in the UK like never before. We have more world champion boxers than at any other time, creating huge interest and enthusiasm around a sport that, not too long ago, looked like it could die out.
At the same time, boxing has very definitely moved out of backstreet sweaty blokes’ gyms and become hip and happening among men and women who would once never have considered it. Boutique boxing studios like BOx are full of individuals who don’t wanna fight but can see that boxing training is a brilliant way to keep in shape.
Then there are the things that are more difficult to put into words. We think BOx training gives you a rush that is difficult to get in a traditional gym or fitness class. It’s not just working out a bit of aggression but feeling that sense of balance and rhythm.
As someone who has been into personal fitness all his life, I can tell you that discovering boxing a few years ago was a revelation for me – as it has been for many of the people of all ages and from all walks of life who come to BOx.
Why not come along and see for yourself?
